Callum Hudson-Odoi has been a Chelsea player right from his childhood. He was part of the Chelsea team that won the treble at the youth level.
In January 2018, he made his first appearance for the Chelsea first team. He will grow from strength to strength in the following seasons.
Amid strong interest from the German Bundesliga giant, Bayern Munich, Chelsea offered Hudson-Odoi an improved new 5-year deal. Frank Lampard used him more as an impact sub, trusting the older and experienced players more.
In the 2020/21 season, his game time improved remarkedly. He will be involved in five group stage games of the Champions League. However, injuries disrupted his season.
The arrival of Thomas Tuchel saw his game time limited as he struggled to fit in into his favored 3-4-2-1 formation. The coach has used him in an unfamiliar wing-back role as he tries to find a perfect solution to his situation.
In 100 appearances for Chelsea, he has 13 goals and 16 assists.
Callum Hudson-Odoi has represented England at all the youth levels – under 16, 17, 18, 19, and 21. He was also eligible to play for Ghana through his parents.
At the senior level, he is capped three times by England. In 2019, he became the youngest player to play for England in a competitive match at 18 years.
